What have I done?

Booger Fingers!!
Okay, I have to write this down, it's one of those totally gross, yet unbelievably funny moments that just makes you think, "What have I done to my life?" This morning Madelyn was getting ready to eat a piece of bread with peanut butter on it when she starts shrieking! Chris and I both turn to her, saying, "Maddie, what's wrong?", she looks up at the two of us with both of her thumbs held in the air, saying "Booger Fingers!" And sure enough, on the tip of each thumb, was a giant, green booger.
New Blog Coming!
I am so excited! I am going to get a blog makeover by a real designer. I have been looking at other people's blogs, and some of them are so cute and pretty, I decided I need to have one! I am going to write more about things going on in our day to day lives, record stuff Hannah and Madelyn do, and thoughts about our life. I have to quit posting about my workouts, that is very boring, so I am getting a new look and going in a new direction. It will be great to look back and see what was happening at different times. I want it to be more of a journal, but also a gift for Hannah and Madelyn when they get older, just like the scrapbooks are. Chris thinks it is dumb, but then again, he thought Facebook was dumb and now he spends more time on there than me!

April 28th
Halfway through the week already! The time does just fly by. This week has been pretty good for workouts so far, on Monday I ran with Rose for the longer loop in the morning. Tuesday became my day off, today I did strength training in the morning and swam this evening with Hannah. Her lessons are done so now I have to fit in swimming at another time during the week, which is kind of a drag. I will run tomorrow, bike on Friday, and then do both on the weekend which is supposed to be gorgeous! We are going to do some gardening too, and hang out around home after call on Friday night. Busy, busy, busy all the time, but it is all good!

Saturday at Work.
Twenty four hour work day...it's beautiful outside and I am here, but what can you do? I guess I don't have too much to say after all. Miss my girls when I'm away, but want to get away when I'm with them. Hmm.

Happy Friday!!

Well, not really for me, seeing as I have to work a 24 hour shift tomorrow. But I had a great week with most of it off! I worked out everyday this week: Monday I lifted weights, Tuesday rode about 23 miles on the bike, Wednesday I lifted weights and swam (with Hannah, so not as intense as I like to), Thursday I ran about 3 miles and felt good, and today I got off work a little early and lifted weights again.
I took the girls to Bounce Zone one day, and Hannah and I went and saw "How to Train Your Dragon", in 3D, it was excellent! Made me cry. Reminds you of how fragile your children are and how much you need to be loving, supportive, patient, and understanding of them. Yes, listen to me, as I hollared at Madelyn on Thursday for crying for about an hour before going to daycare.
Oh well, I do the best I can!

Scrapbooking Weekend
Well, I had a great weekend at the scrapbooking retreat. I really didn't think it would be that great, mostly because only Linda and I were going and she hasn't been feeling well with being pregnant with TRIPLETS!! Unbelievable! Well, we got started talking about blogs, telling her that she should blog about the triplets, and then another girl there shared her blog with me, and I thought I really should start blogging more, just to remember stuff, and here I am. Now I want to dress mine up and make it look nice and fancy...
I did miss the girls alot this weekend, I just keep thinking how they are getting easier now that the potty training is done, and they play together alot. Hannah went to her first sleep over on Friday when I was gone and that went great. I feel so bad for Linda because she is just so tired and seems a little depressed about the pregnancy. I can't help but think...what if that was me?? I would be depressed, I know for sure! I love that the baby stage is done.

April 14th, 2010
So far, so good this week! Monday I did a long (?) well, 1 hour and 10 min ride, (which, by the way, did seem long, and wasn't really that long at all!) bike ride, Tuesday morning I ran for about 3 miles, and then today I swam for about 25 minutes. My swim felt pretty good, I have been trying to work on more powerful arm strokes, and tonight felt a little better. Tomorrow morning I am going for a run early, and Friday is going to be weight training, (I hope). Also have to get to work and bring the kids to school and daycare, so we'll see. I am not getting in the strength training that I need to be doing. I know yoga counts as strength with flexibility, and I haven't gotten that in this week either! Well, will get back to yoga next week. For sure.

April 11th, 2010
So, Friday ended up being a no work out day, which was bad, but then yesterday I got very motivated and biked for about 1 hour, 13 miles. We went to Bean's and bought some biking gear which is very motivating for me (shopping always is!!) I got some super padded shorts and a cool long sleeve top, and then when we got home went biking even though it was very windy out. I feel pretty good today, not sore at all. I just need to increase my length of time on the bike over the next 2 months, and I'll be good to go.
I was going to run today, and did not, I stayed up watching a movie until 9:30 (late for me!!) and then did not get up. It's okay, though, this week I am off on Monday (plan to do long bike ride, like 1 1/2 hours), run Tuesday, swim Wednesday, run Thursday, and hopefully bike again on Friday. Then I will be gone for Sat and Sun and will not do anything. I have to get some weight training sessions in there, too, and hopefully yoga! I love when I get it all in!
I am going to bring my bike in on Thursday to get my pedals on and inspected for the trek, and then go to the craft store with Maddie.
I must watch my eating this week...if I could control that, I could be doing great!
I would also like to do a 4 mile run this week, if possible...

April 8th, 2010
Hannah said to me today as I was singing a silly song I made up, "That is not cool." Totally deadpan. I had to laugh out loud!
Today I got up at 4:30 and ran with Rose, even though I took the day off from work. Then, to top it off, I went to yoga for Level 2, although I felt very wobbly today, I was pretty flexible. Yesterday, I swam for about 25 min, and felt pretty tired, probably because it has been 2 weeks. I did run on Tuesday morning too, so this week isn't that bad, except I feel like a load because I missed Sunday and Monday doing something. I am going to run on Sat, and possibly bike, too, at least I would like to but then I have to work Sunday so that day will be a waste.
I got some clip pedals and shoes today for my bike, so I am very excited about that!!
Also, I have had a few more donations to my site, so that is stressing me out less.
Now I need to order a wetsuit soon, and then I will be basically geared up for the tri, still need to think about what to get for the Trek.
See ya!
